Career Transition Forum Kickoff:
Executive Resume Workshop

June 23, 2026 - 4:00 PM ET | 1:00 PM PT (VIRTUAL)

WGCC is pleased to introduce the launch of the Career Transition Forum (CTF), a new initiative designed to support members at pivotal moments in their careers. The Forum’s mandate is:

To support & connect women GCs during their career transitions as they seek re-employment within the legal industry through networking, sharing resources and coaching/guidance.

To mark this launch, we invite you to join us for a practical and insightful Executive Resume Workshop, designed specifically for senior legal professionals navigating career transitions.

This session will provide targeted guidance to help you effectively position your experience and leadership value in today’s competitive market. Whether you are actively exploring new opportunities or preparing for future transitions, this workshop will equip you with the tools to elevate your professional narrative.

Workshop Highlights:

  • Executive resume guidance tailored to senior legal roles
  • Recruiter and board-level hiring insights
  • Strategies for positioning at the GC and CLO level

The session will be led by Martin Buckland, one of the world’s most respected Executive Career Management Practitioners. With more than three decades of experience, Martin has advised C-Suite executives, senior leaders, EMBA graduates, and professionals across 70+ countries, helping them navigate complex career transitions and position themselves as competitive candidates for senior leadership roles.

He has built a strong reputation working with General Counsel and senior legal leaders, offering tailored guidance for those moving in-house, transitioning out of GC roles, or pursuing broader executive opportunities. His deep understanding of the legal profession enables him to provide practical, differentiated strategies for career positioning.

Martin’s background includes service with the London Metropolitan Police, Scotland Yard Anti-Terrorism Squad, and the RCMP in Canada—experience that informs his disciplined, analytical approach to executive career management. He is also the founder of Elite Resumes and has developed extensive relationships across the global executive search community.

A sought-after speaker, Martin has presented at leadership conferences and to 23 EMBA programs worldwide. He holds more than 22 professional certifications, including Master Resume Writer, Certified Corporate Executive Coach, Certified LinkedIn Trainer, Personal Branding Strategist, and Job & Career Transition Coach.

*Following the workshop, members of the CTF are encouraged to remain on the call for a brief kickoff session, where we will share additional information about the Forum and upcoming opportunities to connect.
